Welcome! I’m Daniel Kroop, and this is Los Angeles and First. I primarily report on LA politics, with a focus on the Mayor and City Council. I also talk about politics here in London where I currently reside. You may reach me at dvkroop[at]gmail.com.
I graduated from Harvard in 2010 and completed my master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics in 2011. I was honored to serve as the president of the 5000-strong postgraduate class.
I care deeply about economic and social justice, education, the environment, grassroots organizations and public access to literature and the arts. I’m writing a forthcoming treatise on a programmatic political-ideological orientation striving to realize equal opportunity in the twenty-first century. It’s called New Progressivism.
